A 21-year-old man from Toxteth has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life following a shooting on Upper Warwick Street, Toxteth, this evening (Tuesday, 1 March).
A 15-year-old girl, who was injured was taken to hospital where she is being treated and her condition is now described as stable.
House-to-house inquiries have been carried out and Crime Scene Investigations have carried out forensic examinations at the scene. Officers will also be checking CCTV in a bid to establish the circumstances of the incident.
We would urge anyone who has information, witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage to come forward as their information could greatly assist the investigation.
