We are appealing for information after a collision in West Derby has left a man with serious injuries on Tuesday 15 March.
At around 8.05pm officers were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a light silver car on Eaton Road towards Alder Hey.
A man in his 70s was taken to hospital where he remains after suffering serious injuries to his legs.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and enquiries are ongoing to identify the vehicle and driver.
Sergeant Jeremy Martin from the Roads Policing Unit said: “We’re keen to speak to establish the details of this incident and speak with the driver of this vehicle as a matter of urgency.
“Our officers are continuing to carry out extensive CCTV and witness enquiries to identify the driver.
"If you witnessed this collision or were passing and may have captured anything to confirm the vehicle involved, please come forward and we will take action.”
