We are appealing for information following a report of a collision involving a teenage cyclist and a car in Old Swan this morning (Thursday 17 March).
At around 8.20am officers were called to a report of a collision on Prescot Road where the driver of a black Nissan Juke car failed to stop when a 16-year-old boy came off his bike and sustained what is believed to be minor injuries.
An investigation is underway to identify the driver and the vehicle to help with enquiries.
Officers are appealing for witness and drivers who were in the vicinity at that time to come forward to help with the investigation.
Inspector Stuart McIver said: “We’re keen to speak to the driver of the vehicle to establish the details as a matter of urgency. Thankfully the young cyclist has suspected minor injuries and hasn’t attended hospital.
"If you witnessed this collision, or were passing and may have captured any dashcam footage to please come forward and we will take action.”
