Detectives have issued an image of a woman they believe may have information that could assist with their enquiries following a robbery at a store in Liverpool.
At around 9am on Monday 28 February officers were called to a report of a robbery at a mini mart on Warwick Street.
It was reported that a man who was with a woman entered the store and asked for some items he claimed to have paid for earlier that day. The woman pushed open the door behind the counter and knocked over a member of staff as she took a pack of cigarettes from the store cabinet. The woman and man then left the store.
No one was injured but the members of staff at the store were left seriously distressed by the incident.
Since the robbery officers have carried out extensive CCTV and witness enquiries and detectives have issued a CCTV image of a woman they believe could assist with their investigation.
Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: “This was a frightening incident for the staff and customers in the store at the time.
“No one should be left to feel scared and unsafe in their own community and we are working hard to find anyone responsible and bring them to justice.
“If you recognise the woman pictured then please let us know, as we believe she may hold information vital to our ongoing investigation.
“We would also appeal to anyone who was near the mini mart on Warwick Street on Monday 28 February at 9am who saw anyone or anything suspicious to contact us as they may have information which is vital to our investigation.
“If you witnessed the incident or have any CCTV footage or further information please get in touch.”
