Officers have arrested a man and a woman for drugs offences following an incident on Friday evening (4th March).
Our #OpTarget officers on the Wirral spotted a 35-year-old man on Newling Street, Birkenhead at around 6:45pm. He was searched and found in possession of Class A drugs and was arrested.
A search of a nearby property was also conducted where a 26-year-old woman was arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs after a search revealed a number of weapons and a large amount of drugs including around 2500 wraps of crack cocaine, uncut heroin, multiple bags of brown powder and approx. 2kg of cannabis bush. Together, the drugs were estimated to have a street value of £30k.
Two electric bikes were also seized as being stolen.
Both the man and woman were taken to custody for further questioning.
