Three men have been arrested after a police pursuit of a suspected stolen car in Sefton on Monday 28 February.
At around 4.45pm, officers observed a suspected stolen blue Audi A3 on Hawthorne Road in Bootle. The occupants failed to stop and drove off at speed.
During the five-minute pursuit the car travelled at speed through traffic, narrowly missing cars and had mounted the pavement with no consideration for public safety.
This ended on Galsworthy Avenue when the car mounted the pavement and came to a stop on a grassed area.
A 27-year-old man from Bootle has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop and drug driving.
A 23-year-old man from Waterloo and an 18-year-old male from Netherton were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
All three suspects have been released under investigation.
