We are appealing for information after a nine-year-old boy was involved in a collision in Prescot this evening (Sunday 15 May).
Police were called by the North West Ambulance Service just before 5.50pm to a report the child had been riding his bike on Lathum Close when he was involved in a collision with a grey Ford Fiesta.
The boy, who had sustained a head injury, was then taken by the male driver to his home address and has now been taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The driver is assisting police with enquiries into the incident.
