We have arrested a St Helens man on suspicion of attempted s18 wounding with intent on an emergency worker.
The arrest follows an incident on Borron Road in Newton-le-Willows on the evening of 17th May this year when a police officer suffered an injury to his hand after being in collision with a quad bike.
The 29 year-old man is currently in custody where he will be questioned by officers.
