Officers from Merseyside Police Roads Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on Wood Lane at the junction with Peckmill Green in Netherley.
The collision occurred at 7.05pm last night, Wednesday 9th November, and involved a white off-road scrambler bike and a red Ford Ka.
The 24year-old male rider of the motorbike suffered serious injuries in the collision.
The driver of the car stopped at scene and is assisting with enquiries.
Constable Adam Cheshire from the Roads Policing Unit said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision and we would urge anyone with CCTV or dash camera footage within their vehicle to get in touch. If you saw, or have footage of any of the vehicles involved in this collision in the area prior to the collision we would also be grateful to hear from you".
