Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man who could assist with their enquiries following theft of goods at a supermarket in Anfield.
At around 5.50pm on Saturday 5th November, a man stole a number of items from Asda store on Breck Road.
The male in question ran off and was challenged by an Asda security guard where he was then threatened with a knife. The offender made off and no injuries were reported.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted and detectives have issued CCTV image of man they believe could assist in their investigation.
Inspector Paul Rannard said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened who have not already spoken to the police, or who has CCTV footage of the incident to assist in the investigation.
“I am also appealing to the man featured in this image, or anyone who recognises him to come forward. We believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”
