Officers from our Matrix Roads Policing Unit are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Bootle yesterday afternoon, Monday 7 November.
At 3.55pm, emergency services were called to Canal Street, near to the Bridgewater Complex, to reports of a collision involving a man in his 60s and a bus. The man was taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced deceased.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from our Matrix Roads Policing Unit said: “Our sincere condolences go out to the family and we will be supporting them in the coming days after this tragic incident.
“Enquiries continue and we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or captured anything on dashcam or other devices. You can contact us in various ways but ensure you pass on any information as soon as you can, so we can establish the circumstances.”
