A man has been charged with burglary and theft offences in St Helens after Tesco charity boxes were stolen from a store in Linkway.
Officers received reports that a man stole charity boxes from the Tesco Extra store in Linkway on Wednesday 7 September, and Monday 12 September.
A man from St Helens was arrested on Friday 4 November on suspicion of theft and burglary offences.
Stephen Brighouse, aged 46, of College Street in St Helens has been charged with theft and burglary in relation to the incidents at Tesco and a JYSK Store in St Helens that happened on Thursday 3 November.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today (Monday 7 November).
