Detectives have issued images of a man who may have information that may assist enquiries after a man was knocked unconscious following an assault in Liverpool City Centre.
At around 3am on Sunday 24 July officers were called to a report that a man in his 30s was assaulted at a bar on Temple Court.
The victim was assaulted by a man outside the smoking area of a bar on Temple Court and knocked unconscious.
The victim went to hospital after he sustained lacerations on his forehead and nose and injuries to the back of his head and ear
Since the attack officers have carried out an extensive investigation in the area and analysed CCTV footage to identify anyone who could be responsible. Detectives have now issued images of a man they believe could assist with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: “This was an unprovoked and violent attack that left a man with several injuries to his head and face.
“We think the man pictured may have vital information to help our enquiries so if you know him, please come forward.
“This incident happened in a busy bar where people who may been leaving the venue would have seen the attack. If you recognise this man, or these images remind you of anything suspicious you saw at around 3am on Sunday 24 July on Temple Court please do let us know.
“While some months have passed since the incident on Sunday 24 July, we are still determined to find the person responsible for this attack.”
