A man has been charged after a loaded firearm was found in an open land search in Kirkby last year.
On Friday 14 May 2021 a double-barrelled shotgun that had been shortened was found with viable ammunition inside and next to the weapon during an open land search on Ingoe Lane in Kirkby.
Thang Trung Hoang, aged 43 of Neptune Street in London has now been charged with possession of a shortened shotgun and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 11 November.
