Detectives from our Economic Crime Team, working alongside the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU), have charged a man with money laundering offences following warrants in Liverpool last week.
Last Tuesday, 11 October, approximately £500,000 in cash, high value watches, and a BB gun were seized and a man was arrested after the activity in Allerton, Norris Green and Walton.
Anthony Kane, 41, of Allerton Road, Mossley Hill was charged with the following offences:
Conspiracy to conceal, disguise, convert, transfer or remove criminal property, namely cash, wrist watches, pedal cycle and motor vehicles between 2018 and 2022
Conspiracy to enters into or becomes concerned in an arrangement which he knows or suspects facilitates (by whatever means) the acquisition, retention, use or control of criminal property by or on behalf of another person criminal property, namely cash, motor vehicles and wrist watches 2018 and 2022
Possession of criminal property, namely cash, motor vehicles, electronic devices, artwork, electric bikes, jewellery, electrical items, ornaments and designer clothing and footwear
Forensic enquiries are ongoing and Kane will next appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday 10 November.
