Three people have been arrested and cash and suspected cocaine seized following the stop of a vehicle in Knowsley yesterday, Thursday 13 October.
At around 3pm an Audi was stopped on the Knowsley Expressway on suspicion of having no insurance. The vehicle was searched and a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs were found, and the driver and passenger detained.
A 43-year-old woman from Garston was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, drug driving and driving with no insurance.
A 36-year-old woman from Eccles, Greater Manchester was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Further searches were carried out at an address in Croxteth, where further suspected Class A drugs and cash were found (pictured).
Here, a 29-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. All three are now in custody for questioning.
The investigation is part of the Merseyside Organised Crime Partnership (OCP), made up of a specialist team of officers from the National Crime Agency and Merseyside Police, which was launched in April 2021 to protect the public by tacking high-risk organised crime groups.
