A woman has been charged this morning (Tuesday 1 November) with the murder of 50-year-old Jonathan Gibbons in Litherland.
At around 4.45am on Sunday 30 October officers received a report that Jonathan had been stabbed at a property on Bridge Road.
He was taken to hospital with a serious life-threatening injury and sadly died later that day.
A post-mortem confirmed he died of a stab wound to his chest.
Joanne Moran, aged 42, of Bridge Road Litherland was arrested on Sunday 30 October and has now been charged with murder. She has been remanded into custody to appear Merseyside Domestic Violence Remand Court (Liverpool Crown Court) today (Tuesday 1 November).
