Man, 58, charged with firearms offences

We have charged a 58-year-old man with possession of a prohibited weapon, possessing ammunition for a firearm and possessing an unlawful explosive substance for unlawful purpose.

The charges come after a warrant was executed at a property on Netherby Street in Dingle on the evening of Monday 19^th September.

Paul Cox, of Netherby Street, was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral adult remand court today, Wednesday 21^st September.

Five other people arrested have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
