Detectives have charged a Liverpool man with drug offences as part of Operation Venetic yesterday, Wednesday 14 September. Niall Barry, 25, from Old Swan, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (heroin and cocaine), and Class B drugs (cannabis). Barry was remanded into custody overnight and is due to appear at Sefton Magistrates Court this morning, Thursday 15 September. The charge forms part of the Merseyside Police response to Operation Venetic: a national investigation into the use of Encrochat encrypted mobile devices.
