Appeal following robbery in Liverpool city centre

Detectives have issued CCTV images of two men who could have information that may assist with their enquiries following a robbery in Liverpool city centre on Friday 31 March.

At around 5pm it was reported that a 15-year-old boy was walking along William Brown Street when he was approached by two men who said they had a knife on them, and demanded the victim to hand over his mobile phone to the offenders.

It is alleged that the offenders then told 15-year-old victim to leave the area.

No injuries were reported and no weapon was seen during the robbery, however the victim was very shaken by the incident.

CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspects responsible, and detectives have issued images of two men they believe could assist with their investigation. 

Detective Inspector Katie Coote said: “This was a very distressing incident for the 15-year-old victim to experience and thankfully he wasn’t injured during the robbery.

“This took place at a busy time where people would have been in the area, and I urge anyone who was in the vicinity at that time and saw something suspicious to please contact us so we can bring the offenders to justice.

“I am also appealing to the two men featured in the images, or anyone who recognises them to come forward. We believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”
