A man has today, Thursday 6 April, been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, criminal damage and driving offences.
At around 5pm on Tuesday 4 April we received a report of a road rage incident in Wirral and that a man was brandishing a meat cleaver.
Later that evening, officers were on patrol and stopped a vehicle in St Helens.
Samson Evans, 30 years, of no fixed address, was arrested and has been charged with possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, three counts of driving while disqualified, three counts of using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance, criminal damage and affray.
He appeared at Wirral Adult remand court today and has been remanded into custody.
