We are appealing for information following a report of a collision where a cyclist was found injured in Dingle in the early hours of this morning, Friday 4 August.
At around 1.15am, we received a report that a man had come off his pedal bike on Dingle Vale and sustained serious injuries.
Emergency services attended and the man in his 40s was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Inspector Tim Pottle of Roads Policing said: “We are still in the early stages of the investigation to establish the circumstances of what took place and how the man sustained the injuries.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed or has information on this incident to please contact us.
“I also ask residents and anyone driving in the vicinity to please check your CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage for anything that have captured something which will assist in the investigation.
“Every piece of information or footage could be vital in establishing what happened to him."
