We are appealing for witnesses of a robbery in Port Sunlight yesterday, Tuesday 8th August.
We received a report that at around 4pm a woman left the Bulldog pub on Bebington Road and drove towards New Chester Road on to Pool Bank, and two males appeared on bikes while she was stationery.
One male then reached through the open driver’s window and punched her in the face before stealing a blue and yellow plastic carrier bag and her handbag from the front passenger seat.
The offenders are described as aged 16 to 17-years-old, wore balaclavas and baseball caps.
One male wore black and red trainers and was riding a bike. The second male was wearing a tracksuit and riding an electric bike.
The victim sustained a bruise and slight swelling to the face and was left shaken by the incident.
Officers attended and searched the area, and an investigation is underway to identify the suspects.
Detective Inspector Dave Sung said: “This was very distressing for the victim, and she was left shaken by the incident.
“I urge anyone who was in the vicinity of Pool Bank yesterday at around 4pm and may have witnessed the robbery or noticed something suspicious to please contact us so we can bring the offenders to justice.
"I am also appealing for drivers and residents to check your CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage as it may have captured the two suspects riding by the Bulldog pub, along Bebington Road or around Pool Bank which may help with the investigation.”
