We are appealing for information following a large-scale fight involving youths in Maghull last night, Tuesday 29 August.
At around 8pm, it was reported that two groups of youths were fighting outside Meadows Leisure Centre, on Hall Lane.
A 16-year-old boy, sustained stab wounds to his leg and needed hospital treatment to minor injuries.
Some of those involved left the area by using the nearby canal path.
We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to please get in touch.
Detective Inspector Matt Kerr said: “This was a large-scale fight involving two groups of youths.
“A 16 year-old boy required hospital treatment.
“It’s understandable that the community will be concerned by this incident, but rest assured we are determined to find those responsible.
“This happened in a busy area of Maghull, so if you witnessed the incident or have any dashcam footage or CCTV footage, please let us know.”
