Appeal to help find potentially hazardous tablets stolen in Liverpool city centre

We are issuing an urgent appeal to help find potentially hazardous tablets that were stolen in Liverpool city centre on Tuesday 8 August.

At around 6.30pm, it was reported that a man’s backpack had been stolen from the Adelphi Hotel.

Following further enquiries, it was later reported that inside the stolen bag was a smaller bag, which contained a quantity of medication, including two tablets that could cause serious harm if taken.

The two tablets, which were inside a plastic money bag, are described as being coated with solid dark red plastic and have no markings.

Chief Inspector Phil Cowin said: “We are appealing for anyone with information to come forward so we can locate these potentially hazardous tablets.

“If you come across them, please do not take them. Instead, call us immediately. Our enquiries into the theft are ongoing so if you have any information, come forward.”
