Officers have arrested a teenager following an assault in Haydock yesterday evening, Wednesday 12 December.
At around 5.30pm officers on patrol were alerted to a domestic incident taking place on Piele Road involving a teenage male.
Officers spoke to the male and he became aggressive then assaulted an officer and made off. He was arrested a short time later.
A search was carried out at his home address where a quantity of cannabis and drugs paraphernalia were found.
A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, possession with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug and possession of a controlled Class B drug. He has now been released under investigation.
