Man arrested on suspicion of rape in Southport

A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape at an address in Southport yesterday, Sunday 10 December.
At around 11.15pm it was reported that a woman had been sexually assaulted by a man at a property on King Street.
Officers attended and a 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of raping a woman 16 years or older. He has been bailed from custody after being questioned.
