A man has been charged following a fatal collision in Liverpool city centre on Sunday evening (3 December).
At around 5.55pm, it was reported that a 92-year-old female pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a blue Ford Focus car on Canning Street, near to the junction of Catharine Street.
The woman sadly passed away from her injuries yesterday evening.
Mohamed Mahadi, 33 years, of Whithorn Street, Wavertree was arrested and later charged with causing death by careless/inconsiderate driving, and causing death by driving an unlicensed/uninsured vehicle.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 5 December), where he was further remanded to appear at magistrates court again on 2 January 2024.
