Two men have been arrested following a road traffic collision in Moreton in the early hours of Sunday morning, 3 December.
At around 1.45am, officers were on patrol and sighted a silver Vauxhall Astra van travelling at high speed and driving dangerously on Hoylake Road.
Following a police pursuit the van was in collision with a lamp post and following a short chase the two men were detained.
Both men were taken to hospital to be assessed as a precautionary measure and were later taken to custody.
A 40-year-old man from Neston and a 30-year-old man from Moreton were arrested on suspicion of driving dangerously, driving while unfit through drugs and driving while disqualified. They have been released under investigation.
We are appealing for witnesses, and for any CCTV and dash camera footage which may have captured the incident, to please get in touch to assist the investigation.
