Detectives have charged a man with attempted murder following an incident in Croxteth last week.
At around 10.30pm on Wednesday 8 February, emergency services attended Coronet Road after reports of a car being in suspected deliberate collision with a man, who was found unconscious in the street.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Following enquiries, Shaun Duckworth, 34, of Breeze Hill, Walton, was charged with attempted murder and possession of cannabis.
Duckworth was remanded in custody and will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court tomorrow, Monday 13 February.
