A man has been arrested and charged for a number of domestic violence offences in Prescot.
On Saturday 26 November last year officers received a report that a woman had been repeatedly assaulted by a man at a house in Prescot.
John Williams, aged 23 of Johnson Avenue has been charged with four counts of domestic violence offences, two counts of witness intimidation, controlling and coercive behaviour, false imprisonment, intentional strangulation and criminal damage.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Merseyside Domestic Violence remand court this morning (Friday 24 February).
