We have arrested two men on suspicion of affray and vehicle crime following an incident in Moreton last night, Thursday 16 February.
At around 9.30pm, officers were called to reports that a man had been on Carr Lane when stolen car pulled up and the occupants approached him, reportedly in possession of weapons.
Officers, assisted by our Dog Unit and National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter searched the area and located two men in a rear garden on Millhouse Lane. They were detained. A suspected stolen vehicle was recovered in Tern Way.
A 25-year-old man from Poulton and a 30-year-old man from Everton were arrested on suspicion of Affray; Theft of a motor vehicle; and Being found in or upon enclosed premises.
They remain in custody to be questioned.
