We are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Cronton in the early hours of this morning, Monday 16 January.
At around 12.20am, emergency services were called to Chapel Lane to reports of a Black Range Rover Sport in collision with a wall.
A man in his 30s suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the Force’s Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are very much with the man’s family as they wait for news on his condition and they are being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers. Meanwhile, we have launched an investigation to get answers for them.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the general area at the time of this collision, who may have seen the Range Rover prior to the collision to please make contact with us. In addition we appeal to anyone with dashcam, or who lives locally with CCTV or Smart Doorbell footage to get in touch.”
The road was closed for a number of hours, but has since reopened.
Witnesses are asked to contact our Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit on (0151) 777 5747, email [email protected], or DM @MerPolCC on Twitter quoting reference 23000045071.
