We have issued CCTV images of four men who may have information to assist enquiries following an assault at a pub in Bootle.
At around 6.55pm on Saturday 15th October we received a report that two men and a woman were assaulted by a group of about five men and two women at the Jolly’s Pub on Marsh Lane.
It was reported that both groups were arguing with one another when the larger group assaulted the three victims.
They then left the pub in the direction of Stanley Road, Bootle.
The two men suffered cuts and bruises and were left very distressed by the attack.
Since the incident officers have carried out extensive CCTV examinations and witness enquiries in the area and detectives have now issued CCTV images of four men they believe could assist with their investigation.
Detective Inspector James Halpin said: “This was a frightening attack that left two men injured and we are working to find those responsible and bring them to justice.
“Everyone should be able go out and feel safe in their community without the fear of being attacked.
“While some months have passed since the incident, any information you hold could be vital to our enquiries. If you recognise the men pictured then please let us know, as we believe he may hold information that can support our ongoing investigation.
“If you were in the Jolly’s Pub or on Marsh Lane on area at around 7pm on Saturday 15th October and saw the attack, or witnessed the suspects described making off then please let us know.
“Similarly, if you took photos on your mobile phone or have dashcam footage please come forward.
