We are circulating images of five men who may have information to assist enquiries into an assault in Aigburth in July last year.
At around 12.30am on Sunday 24 July, it was reported that a man in his 30s was seriously assaulted by a group of men on Lark Lane.
During the assault, the victim was punched unconscious and then kicked on the ground.
He sustained a number of injuries, including a broken jaw and bruising.
Since the incident, we have explored a number of enquiries and are now able to release CCTV images of five men who we believe could have information to help our ongoing investigation.
Detective Inspector Katie Coote said: “Although several months have passed since this assault, we are just as determined to find the culprits and bring them to justice.
“This was a sickening assault that left a man in hospital with serious injuries. If you know any information, please get in touch.
“If you are one of these men pictured in the CCTV images, or you recognise any of these men, please contact us to help our investigation.”
You can pass on any information via DM @MerPolCC, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with reference 22000531238.
