A man has been arrested following a report of a robbery at a shop in St Helens yesterday, Sunday 29 January.
It was reported that at around 5.45pm a man entered McColls on Higher Parr Street with a knife and demanded money. He then made off with a quantity of money.
No injuries were reported.
A 29-year-old man from St Helens was arrested a short time later on suspicion of robbery. He is still in custody and being questioned by police.
