Detectives have charged two men following an incident in Liverpool on Sunday 8 January 2023, in which an imitation firearm was reportedly used to threaten a man in Liverpool City Centre.
Officers attended at a property on Bridgewater Street at 5.55pm last night, Monday 9 January and detained a 22-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning, also on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Kenny Scott, 25, of Robertson Street, Dingle, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence; and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Jake Spencer, 22, of Bridgewater Street, Liverpool has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence; and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
There is no suggestion that that a gun was fired, anyone was injured or any damage caused.
Both men will appear at Wirral Adult Remand court tomorrow, Wednesday 11 January.
