We have arrested two men and seized cash, bikes and a car as part of an operation targeting serious and organised crime across Kirkby.
Yesterday morning (Wednesday 19 July) a warrant was executed at an address in Warrington in relation to a shooting at a house on Wyresdale Road, in Aintree on Saturday 22 April.
Officers searched the property and found over £1000 in cash, a Su-Ron bike, an electric bike and silver Fiesta. Two men, aged 22 and 47, from the Orford area of Warrington were arrested at the property on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods and possession of Class A and B drugs.
They have been taken to a police station in Merseyside where they remain in custody.
Superintendent Karl Baldwin said: “These recent arrests are part of an ongoing operation, targeting suspected organised crime groups and serious violence across Kirkby.
"We hope the results of these warrants demonstrate our relentless efforts to keep people safe and targeting anyone involved in organised crime.
“If you have any information about serious organised crime in your community that could, please contact us so we can continue to take action.”
