Detectives appeal for information following robbery in Bromborough

Detectives ae appealing for information following reports of a robbery where a bike was stolen from two boys in Bromborough.
Just after 3.50pm on Friday 14 July we received a report that two boys were approached by a masked teenage boy at Port Causeway Playground who threatened that he had a knife hidden in his hand.
The teenage boy then wrestled the bike away from one of the boys before cycling down Fairway North.
No injuries were reported after the attack but the two young boys were left scared and distressed after the incident.
An investigation is underway and officers who carried out CCTV enquiries in the area have now released a photo of the stolen bike.
Detective Inspector Dave Sung said: “This was a violent attack on two young boys who were threatened and left fearing for their own safety after their bike was stolen.
“Children should feel safe and secure in their own community without fear of being attacked and we are determined to find the person responsible for this incident.
“If you were at the junction of Port Causeway and Dock Road South on the afternoon of Friday 14 July and saw the incident or recently seen the bike that was taken please contact police immediately.
“Information from our community is vital if we are to stop such violent crimes that causes fear on our streets.
“Our local officers remain in the area and are committed to removing anyone who causes such violence in our community.”
