Detectives appeal for information following several burglaries in Thingwall

Police are appealing for information following several burglaries in Thingwall in the early hours of Wednesday 26 July.
 
Five separate burglaries were reported in the area.

Three of the incidents happened at addresses on Pensby Road between 1.00 – 10.55am where it was reported that a man broke into the properties and stole a bike, handbag, purse and quantity of cash.

The other two break-ins took place on Beaumaris Drive and Barnston Road between 6.00-6.40am. It was reported that the suspect entered the garden of the address on Beaumaris Drive and forced open the shed door. The suspect was then reported to have been seen leaving the side of a property on Barnston Road.
 
Police have increased overnight patrols in the area.
 
CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
 
Detective Inspector Anna Hackett said: “These burglaries have caused damage to properties in the area and several valuable items have been taken from people’s homes where they should feel safe and secure.

“Nobody should violate or break into people’s homes and I want to reassure the community that we are committed to finding the person responsible for committing such crimes and bring him to justice. 

“We are appealing for anyone who was on Pensby Road, Beaumaris Drive or Barnston Road yesterday morning who saw anyone or anything suspicious to contact us. 

"Similarly if you have doorbell footage or cameras that may have captured something please get in touch."
