Detectives have arrested and charged a man with burglary offences after a warrant was executed in Liverpool.
On 28 June we received reports of two burglaries on Mimosa Road and Tulip Road in Wavertree, and a vehicle was stolen.
It was further reported that the stolen vehicle was at a petrol station on Queens Drive drawing fuel and then drove off without paying.
Yesterday, Tuesday 18 July, officers carried out the law enforcement operation at a property in Liverpool following an investigation by the Burglary Team (Operation Castle).
Kevin William Lawton, 37 years, of Prescot Road, Old Swan was arrested and has been charged with burglary dwelling and theft – no violence, attempt burglary dwelling with intent to steal and make off without making payment.
Lawton appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 19 July, and has been remanded into custody.
He will next appear in at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 18 August.
