A man has been arrested following a report of affray in St Helens last night, Monday 17 July.
At around 7.45pm officers were called to Crossley Road where it was reported that three men were causing a disturbance in the street and in possession of weapons.
No injuries were reported.
A 24-year-old man from St Helens has been arrested on suspicion of affray. He is in police custody to be questioned.
We are in the early stages of investigating the incident and our enquiries are ongoing.
CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out, and we are appealing for anyone with information or witnessed the incident to come forward.
In addition, we also ask for those in the area at that time to please check your CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage to see if it has captured any footage which may help with the investigation.
