Two men have been charged following a report a large cannabis farm was found in a derelict property in St Helens last week.
Officers attended the former TSB bank on Ellamsbridge Road shortly after 11.15am on Monday 3 July.
They discovered seven separate growing rooms, with the force’s Cannabis Dismantling Team seizing a total of 801 cannabis plants as well as growing equipment.
Scottish Power attended and confirmed the electricity supply has been abstracted.
Lam Viet Nguyen, 19 years, and Dinh Han Tran, 53 years – both of no fixed address – were arrested and later charged with production of cannabis.
They appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court on Tuesday 4 July where they were further remanded into custody to appear at Crown Court at a later date.
