We are appealing for information following a fail to stop road traffic collision in West Derby on Monday 29 May.
At around 12.20am, it was reported that a cyclist and a car had been involved in a collision at the junction of Barnfield Drive and Town Row.
The cyclist, who is a man in his 20s, sustained serious head injuries. He required hospital treatment and is now recovering at home.
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene and our enquiries are ongoing to locate this person.
Sergeant Ian Cowell from Roads Policing said: “We are taking this incident extremely seriously and our enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver of this vehicle.
“If you were in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, please let us know. In addition, we appeal to anyone with a dashcam, or who lives locally with CCTV or smart doorbell footage, to get in touch if you captured anything around the time of the incident.”
Anyone who witnessed this incident or has dashcam footage is asked to call 0151 777 8175 or DM @merpoltraffic quoting reference: 23000458247.
