We have issued a CCTV image of a man who may have information to assist enquiries following a report of a sexual assault in Walton.
At around 8pm on Tuesday 23 May it was reported that a man allegedly touched a woman aged in her 30s inappropriately as she was walking along Walton Road.
The offender then made off on foot.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted, and we have now issued a CCTV image of a man we believe could assist in the investigation.
Detective Inspector Chris Carlin said: “We take reports of sexual assault very seriously, and we are very keen to speak with the person featured in the image to help with our enquiries.
“It is completely unacceptable to target a person in this disgusting manner and it will not be tolerated in Merseyside. We are determined to find the person responsible.
“I am appealing to the man featured in this image, or anyone who recognises him to please contact us. We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”
If you have any information please contact @MerPoLCC or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with reference 23000447472.
