A man has been arrested following an incident in Litherland this morning, Thursday 29 June.
We received a report at around 10.30am that a male had forced entry to a neighbours flat on Palmertson Drive whilst armed with a knife, and had made threats to the occupants. He has then left the property and was arrested a short time later.
A 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, aggravated burglary, possession of a bladed article and criminal damage. The victims were uninjured.
The man remains in police custody for questioning.
We are in the early stages of the investigation with enquiries continuing. Anyone who witnessed it or has CCTV or doorbell footage which captured the incident is asked to get in touch.
