A man has been charged following a following a burglary at a home in Upton last month.
At around 12.30am on Wednesday 31 May, it was reported that a man had broken into the property of an elderly woman on Pemberton Road and stole valuables. It was also alleged that he verbally abused the woman before fleeing the scene.
Anthony Shackleton, 33 years, of Queens Drive, Prenton has been charged with burglary dwelling – theft/attempted theft with violence and sexual assault on a female.
He is due to appear at Wirral Adult remand court this morning, Friday 30 June.
