We are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Wirral on Sunday 4 June that has left a man with serious injuries.
At around 1.20pm, we received a report of a collision involving a White Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Yamaha Motorcycle that occurred outside a pub on Liverpool Road in Thornton Hough.
Emergency services attended and the man riding the blue Yamaha Motorcycle was taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.
We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has CCTV and dash camera footage which may have captured the incident, to please get in touch to assist the investigation.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “A 40-year-old man from Wirral remains in hospital following this incident whilst our officers continue their enquiries to establish what happened.
“Our investigation is in the early stages and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this collision to please get in touch.
“We know that the Red Fox pub and function suite were busy and that due to the nice weather there were plenty of people in the area. In addition I would ask for anyone with CCTV or dash cameras to please check to see if they captured the incident.
“Every piece of information is important to help us establish what happened”.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call our Matrix Roads Policing Unit on (0151) 777 5747, email [email protected], or DM @MerPolCC on Twitter quoting reference 23000480201. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
