A 17-year-old male from St Helens, who was arrested on the same day, has today (Friday 16 June) been charged with two counts of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
The male, who can't be named for legal reasons, has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Saturday 17 June).
There will be increased policing activity in this area of the city centre over the coming days following the incidents and officers in uniform and plain clothes will be on patrol to reassure everyone who wishes to visit the city that they can do so safely.
