Detectives have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in Walton in February.
Officers were contacted at 1.55pm on Tuesday 21 February after witnesses reported a group of men fighting in the street. It was also reported that one of the men had fired a gun.
Two men then fled towards the alleyway on the side of Delamore Street and the others made off towards Cairo Street. No injuries were reported to police.
On Monday, 13 March, a man was stopped on Lark Lane and detained.
A 22-year-old man from Everton was arrested on suspicion of Possession of a firearm with intent; Section 18 wounding; and Possession of cannabis. He was taken to a police station for questioning by detectives. The man has now been been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
